To Edward H. House
16 November 1881 • Hartford, Conn. (MS: ViU, UCCL 02088)
My Dear House—

We are still in the same old fix—house full of decorators, & we confined to a couple of rooms. Ten days hence I go to Candada, copyright-hunting, & shall return here the 7th of December. We are promised the use of our library & dining-room Dec. 15—& then we are all right. (Is that going to be too late for you & Koto? I do hope to goodness it isn’t. What’s the outlook?—give us a show for the visit—we must have the visit.

Ever Yours
Mark.

I direct to Osgood, as you were to stay but 10 days in N. Y.
