dear charlie:—
ahern came to me some weeks ago after receiving your letter and i told him there was hardly an item in the bill which i was willing to pay. he said he would strike out all disputed items and return me the bill, but he has not done it yet. yes, you had better get up a fifty dollar advertisement for harper.
