My Dear Pond—

He is in no danger, but I do not believe he will be out of bed for several weeks, yet. I am sure he will not stand on a platform again this season.

Now that you have read this, please send it to Gilder; for it contains the knews news & will save me a letter—I’ve got a lot of others to write, to friends who wish to hear.

I will drop you a line every few days; oftenenr, if anything of importance to report.

Truly Yours
S. L. Clemens

Be sure & send it to Gilder.
