Langdon responded on 15 November: “Your telegram is recd. I think mother will come before if you so choose. I have not spoken to her about it but I heard her say the other day that she had a mind to go. Ida will come as I have often told you. In fact send for any body in the family & they will gladly come to you” (CU-MARK).
