My dear Redpath

How would it do for me to deliver my “Sandwich Island” lecture with a reading of the “Jumping Frog” at Steinway Hall on Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday evening and my lecture “Roughing it” on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and night.

Boston each lecture once and Baltimore ditto. I don’t speak of Philadelphia because I’ve had a sort of arrangement with Pugh for some time for that town. Perhaps I might give “Roughing it” one night in Washington.1explanatory note
