My Dear Osgood—

Here is what Perkins suggests. Suppose you fix it, & draw up duplicates, & run down here & sign, & lug off the MS.——which I finished once more to-day. Added some historical notes. MS makes, now, 866 pages—was formerly 734. I removed the bull-story.

Mrs. Clemens dearly wants to go, but says her babies are a complete veto on it. That shuts me off, too, I reckon.
