Dear Dr Trumbull—

I’m safe in closing a book with this note, ain’t I? You make the date 1819. It ain’t a misprint?

Please return me the note.

(For my purposes) I am sorry “sturdy vagabonds” were not enslaved BEFORE Edward the Sixth’s time——but I gather from you that they weren’t.
