Dear Osgood—

O, I see. Yes, if the book can be set up in 48 hours, in Canada, there won’t be any occasion to set any of it in Boston.

I could leave here the evening (or even the morning of Nov. 27) pretty conveniently. It is Mrs. Clemens’s birthday—so I would rather not leave the day before if the 27th would answer just as well.

S L Clemens

I am practicing. Your disparaging fling does not terrify me.

Would like to have Voltaire’s “Age of Louis XIV” if you can scare it up in the English tongue.
