dear charlie:—

today or tomorrow i will inclose to you a letter from ellaemendation lampton. you will see in it a suggestion which she makes, and will let me know what the prospect is regarding it.

i agree with you, that these worthless contracts are a bad backing. it cannot be safe to attack any one of them, since they could off-set us so formidablyemendation by arraying the rest of the batch against us. we shall probably have to drop the whole matter and say nothing at all.


osgoodemendation will be here tomorrow, and i will hand him those things you sent.


livaemendation is improving all the time, but is still confined to her bed.
