Livy is getting along tolerably well; Susie is well; the baby’s finger is healing first rate.
We are glad to know that Annie & Ma & Sammy are having such satisfactory holidays. If Ma had said “send $100” I would send it; but as she says “$50 or 100,” I take advantage & split the difference; therefore please send her the enclosed draft for $75—& tell her to draw again when she wants money. IⒶemendation shall have no income till the end of August, & now am simply paying out money & taking none in. However, if our household expenses do not exceed $50 a day I shall go through all right without having to borrow.
Sam.
